What a fabulous week in 4th grade!
This week students have been practicing adding, subtracting, and estimating whole numbers in math. For example: 4,085 + 2,193. Students are regrouping and borrowing. Students should also practice subtracting across zeros. For example: 3,000 - 1,675. We will test over these topics on Tuesday, September 27.
Students have completed their rough draft for their personal narrative writing piece. We will begin to revise and edit these next week. Students are also learning about making inferences and referring to detail in a text.
In science we have been learning a lot about ecosystems, habitats, producers, consumers, food chains, and food webs.
